Valentine Mansion London

Valentine Mansion London

Valentine Mansion is reputedly one of London's most paranormally active locations with a colourful history:

Although the building which we see today was built sometime in the late 1600's and then enlarged in the 1700's (where incidentally at this time a Roman lead coffin was discovered close to the house), it is also known that a much older property once existed here.

The estate then passed into the hands of Mr Charles Raymond, whose crest can be seen today on parts of the building. Eventually the house became the resident property of the Ingleby family, who made Valentines Mansion their home c1870.

In the early 1900's the house was no longer in use and for almost 100 years it has been uninhabited

...or has it?

It appears that most of the paranormal activity dates from the 1870's onwards and seems to revolve around the Ingleby family who were here at this time.

There have been numerous sightings of the figure of a woman, predominantly seen upstairs and in and around the sleeping quarters.

A tall, bearded man has also been seen on many occasions and, according to previous seance sessions, is called George. He apparently appears in front of visitors before mysteriously vanishing once more.

But Valentines Mansion has even more activity going on within its walls:

  • Ghostly footsteps heard throughout the building.

  • The feeling of being watched by unseen eyes.

  • Numerous reported incidents of cold spots.

  • Unaccountable smells.
